Having many years of experience as professional player, coach, and Player Development Coordinator, my career has taken me throughout Europe and across North America working for various hockey organizations ranging from the Major Junior level to Division 1 (European League).
I continue to build on my resume as a Hockey Educator. I currently hold the position of Player’s Development Coordinator for the Canadian International Hockey Academy as well as HEO District 3 Minor Hockey Association Development Coach. I also, currently, reside as Head Coach of the AAA Major Midget team at CIHA and Head Coach for the 2020 HEO U16 Gold Team. I also travel to Russia to run hockey camps, in various locations, as head instructor and development coach.
Prior to working, for the Canadian International Hockey Academy, I spent time as the Program Director and Head Coach of an established hockey organization in Chicago for more than 10 years while simultaneously running Al Raymond Hockey School for 8 years. I also worked with the Gatineau Olympiques, Major Junior A in the Quebec league, and was Assistant Coach for Team Quebec U-17 Program.
My playing career has taken me from the CJHL and OHL where I was fortunate enough to have been drafted by the Vancouver Canucks in 1982 to a lengthy playing career in Europe having captured a World Championship with the Dutch National Team in 1999.
